Discover Sylvia's passion for child/teen counseling, school support, and family collaboration. Learn why she believes in the power of 'Be Curious, Not Furious.'

My simple yet powerful belief: every child deserves to feel seen, heard and understood.   As an educator and school counselor, I was able to employ my social work skills daily for over 30 years. I am driven by a deep-seated passion for helping families navigate the complexities of life. Over the years, I've honed my skills and developed unique approaches to therapy that are both compassionate and effective. I focus on meeting children where they are, offering them the understanding and tools they need to thrive. The motto, 'Be Curious, Not Furious,' encapsulates my approach—encouraging curiosity and empathy over anger and frustration. This philosophy has resonated with countless families, helping them to build stronger, more supportive relationships.  I am a graduate of Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University and received my Master of Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University. With my experience as a social worker, school counselor, educator, parent and my love of life long learning, I know that together, we can  create a pathway to support your child and your family.
